Mentorship within The Red Pill Program

Ms. Helen Campos supports The Red Pill Programme initiated by The Young Entrepreneurs Network @ The Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (YEN@SICCI). The new mentorship program that was launched on 29 November 2014, aims to guide aspiring entrepreneurs towards their journey to being successful entrepreneurship.

As one of the 40 mentors, Helen is keen to share her experience and knowledge in the areas such as incorporation, business set-up advisory, accounting and tax services, regulatory compliance, litigation on share ownership and more.

Some 600 entrepreneurs have signed up for this program. Within the program and over the course of three months, Red Pill Mentees will be taken through a 10-step programme that includes learning how to sell, developing a business plan and scoping their ideas.

The name Red Pill Program was inspired by the movie ‘The Matrix’, where Neo was asked to choose between the Red Pill and Blue Pill. Taking the Red Pill enabled Neo to be something more than he is, allowing him to achieve greater heights.

Key objectives of The Red Pill Programme:

  • Inspire a spirit of Entrepreneurship among the youth of the Singapore Indian community.
  • Unleash the aspirations of budding entrepreneurs through effective mentoring and guidance.
  • Empower start-up entrepreneurs with access to a comprehensive set of programs, activities, and tools.
  • Mentor – Provide comprehensive mentoring to young entrepreneurs to make their entrepreneur’s journey a success.

“You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe what you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes,” Morpheus to Neo [in “The Matrix”, 2009]
