Celebrating the partnership between SME Centres, Chamber of Commerce and SPRING Singapore

The stage was set for the occasion at the National Library with breath taking view and dizzy heights at the 16th level, IPOD. The stream of business advisors, the member of the chambers of commerce, and officers of the SPRING Singapore flowed into the IPOD, creating the buzz of activities.

The occasion was graced by the guest of honour Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Minister of Trade and Industry. The board of directors (BOD) from various chamber of commerce, officers of the SPRING Singapore, Centre Directors and Business Advisors of the SME Centres were present at this event. Ms Helen Campos, SICCI’s board of director, Chairperson, SME Centre@SICCI attended the event.

Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Minister of Trade and Industry, presented a certificate of appointment to SICCI and it was accepted by Ms Helen Campos, SICCI’s board of director, Chairperson, SME Centre@SICCI at SME Centres and Partners Appreciation Dinner 2016.

This was an evening, celebrating the partnership between SME Centres, Chamber of Commerce and SPRING Singapore. The CEO of SPRING Singapore, Mr. Poon Hong Yuen shared the achievement of the SME Centres and its future direction. He disclosed that advisory to SMEs have grown from 10,000 SMEs in 2010 to 24,000 SMEs in 2015, a great achievement indeed. The future direction of the centres is to engage SMEs in a deeper manner through workshops and diagnostics.

In this event there were two key elements. First, was to appreciate the valuable partnership with the chambers of commerce and second, to appreciate the contribution of business advisors. To continue the partnership for next five years, certificate of appointment was present to each SME Centre. The GOH, Ms Sim Ann, presented the certificate of appointment to SICCI and it was accepted by Ms Helen Campos.
