Changes to the Permanent Residence Applications Process by ICA- New Electronic System
On 18th December 2-17, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA_ will implement introduce a new electronic-Permanent residence (e-PR) system.
What is new?
PR Applicants previously had to make a trip to ICA in order to secure an appointment and to submit their documents.
With Singapore’s move into digitalization, the new e-PR system will allow applications to enter the required information online through the electronic application form and submit their supporting document electronically on the ICA website.
Processing fee for PR Applications
ICA is introducing a processing fees of $100 per applicant at the point of submission of the PR application. If successful, the applicant will have to pay an additional $20 fee for the Entry Permit.
ICA cited that the new fees are to manage the rising operating costs of processing PR applications and will take effect from 18 December 2017.
From 18 December 2017, ICA will only accept PR applications through the new e-PR system and will no longer release any e-appointment slots.
